Punchbowl Boys’ High School provides a designated classroom with a supervising teacher during lunch time for students wishing to pray. The school hall is used on Fridays to accommodate the larger group of students who want to observe Friday prayers.
If you wish for your son to participate in the Friday prayer and/or regular lunchtime prayers please download the available parental/caregiver permission form found here.
All students who wish to conduct prayers on school grounds must have parental consent and agree to the following conditions regarding voluntary religious activity.
a) Students are to conduct their prayers in the designated prayer room and are NOT to perform prayers in any other location.
b) Students are to conduct their prayers at the designated time (lunch time) and are NOT to perform prayers at any other time.
c) All prayer sessions will be supervised by a teacher at all times.
d) Friday prayer sessions will organised and led internally by a school teacher.
e) All students must return signed permission forms in order to participate in prayers.
f) All students must manually sign in to the prayer room and Friday prayers prior to commencement.
