Co-curricular

Co-curricular programs

At Punchbowl Boys' High School, we believe in providing a well-rounded education that goes beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular activities offer students a variety of opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and contribute to the school community.

Book Club

A gathering of students who share a passion for reading and literature. Members discuss selected books, share recommendations, and engage in activities related to storytelling and writing.

Barber Shop

A vocal group that focuses on singing in close harmony, typically featuring four-part arrangements. Participants learn about vocal techniques, performance skills, and work collaboratively to create engaging musical performances.

Cafe Program

A student-led initiative where participants learn culinary skills by preparing and serving food in a café setting. This program may include lessons on nutrition, menu planning, and customer service.

Debating

A structured form of argumentation where students engage in formal debates, developing critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills. Participants research topics and learn to construct cohesive arguments for and against various issues.

Gardening

An activity that involves cultivating plants, vegetables, and flowers. Students learn about horticulture, sustainability, and the environment while developing teamwork and responsibility in maintaining a garden.

Robotics

A program where students design, build, and program robots. Participants engage in hands-on learning with technology, developing skills in engineering, coding, and problem-solving, often culminating in competitions

Student Representative Council (SRC)

A body of elected student representatives who voice student interests and concerns. The SRC organises events, fosters school spirit, and acts as a liaison between students and school administration.
